Original Apple @ Work: Why are IT professionals choosing Apple products when they used to ban them?

Apple’s final products aren’t open-source. Apple’s operating system can’t run on any configuration. You can sometimes buy better specs for less money, but in the enterprise IT world, work stations that work is the only goal. I don’t care if I can get a large SSD on a PC as I don’t want to deal with the lack of software and hardware integration. For my environment and my users, I want solutions. I don’t want to build PCs. I don’t want to search for updated graphics card drivers. I don’t want to wonder if my SSD has a firmware update. I know that when I run Software Update on macOS, that Apple is providing any updates that I need. There are only a few configurations for Apple products, and if I have issues, I know that I’ll be able to work with Apple to diagnose and fix them.

Modern IT departments are purchasing complete solutions, and that is why IT departments now recommend Apple products for the enterprise.
